First Colonial has gone 8-2 against Salem recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Patriots will face off against the Sundevils at 5:00 p.m. First Colonial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
First Colonial came out on top against Cox on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Patriots walked away with a 6-3 win over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.
Cori Evans spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lucy Domozick, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Maura Haesler was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of Bayside.
Madison Twiford and Evie Miani stepped up to the plate in a big way. Twiford went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Miani went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Emma Check also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
First Colonial's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
First Colonial beat Salem 8-4 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
