Basketball Recap: Evans Takes a Loss

Evans suffered their biggest loss since December 11, 2024 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 47-19 loss at the hands of the Boone Braves. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-16 back in November of 2024.

Boone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paige Barry, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Barry a new career-high. Naima Durandisse was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to ten rebounds and five blocks.

Evans' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Boone, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evans will welcome Jones at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boone, they will take on University at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
