Volleyball Recap: Gustine's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mariposa County, Gustine was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Waterford Wildcats by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Gustine was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 19-25, 25-14.

Adamaris Sierra went supernova, getting 13 kills, six aces, and five digs. Another player making a difference was Kimberly Ramirez, who had 18 assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Gustine was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

With the victory, Gustine broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Waterford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gustine is set to take on their familiar foe Denair at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Waterford will square off against rival Mariposa County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
