Baseball Game Preview: Shepherd Bluejays vs. Harrison Hornets

Shepherd is a perfect 6-0 against Harrison since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bluejays will host the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Shepherd managed to slip by Gladwin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bluejays came up short against the Flying G's on Tuesday, falling 12-2.

Shepherd saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton VanAlstine, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Harrison lost 12-2 to Clare on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Shepherd's loss dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Everything went Shepherd's way against Harrison in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Shepherd made off with a 15-0 win. Do the Bluejays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
