Soccer Recap: Westlake Extends Winning Streak to Two

Westlake barely beat Wooster the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Demons' defense stepped up to hand the Generals a 3-0 shutout on Saturday. The contest was close at halftime, but Westlake turned on the heat in the second half with two goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Westlake and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. As for Wooster, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Westlake will venture away from home to face off against Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wooster, they will welcome West Holmes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
