Basketball Game Preview: Neville Tigers vs. West Monroe Rebels

The Neville Tigers will take on the West Monroe Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

West Monroe will be up against a hot Neville squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Neville was the clear victor by a 50-27 margin over Ouachita Parish on Friday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

West Monroe got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They claimed a resounding 64-8 victory over Pineville. West Monroe hasn't had any issues with Pineville recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Neville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 7.5 points across that stretch. As for West Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.

Neville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against West Monroe in their previous meeting last Friday, but they still walked away with a 55-51 victory. Will Neville repeat their success, or does West Monroe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
