Baseball Game Preview: Torres Toros vs. Coalinga Horned Toads

The Torres Toros will square off against the Coalinga Horned Toads at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Torres nor Coalinga posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Torres came up short against Madera South on Tuesday, falling 8-1.

Torres saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Galindo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Those two hits gave Galindo a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Coalinga's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fresno on Wednesday. The Horned Toads have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Torres' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Coalinga, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Torres skirted past Coalinga 9-7 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Torres have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coalinga turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
