El Dorado played a tough  game  on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the La Habra Highlanders 42-3. The  contest marked the Golden Hawks' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Hudson Shaddow threw for 150 yards  on 14 of 25 attempts.   Mason Shackleton was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards.
 A big part of La Habra's  victory came down to the chemistry between  DJ Mitchell and his top target  Bryce Vasquez. Mitchell threw for 236 yards and three  touchdowns while  Vasquez picked up 159 receiving yards and a pair of  scores. Those  236  passing yards gave  Mitchell a new career-high.
This is the second loss in a row for El Dorado and  nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for La Habra, their win was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-1.
 El Dorado didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  50-7  loss against Crean Lutheran on the 10th. As for La Habra, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  35-30  defeat against Huntington Beach on the 10th.
