Softball Preview: Centennial Coyotes vs. Ironwood Eagles

Centennial has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Ironwood Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

Centennial is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout on Monday, just like they did against Ironwood (and have done all season long). Centennial's pitcher stepped up to hand Ironwood a 10-0 shutout on Thursday.

Kylee Raven tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Centennial got a big performance out of Brooke Denton, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Macnab, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13-1 record this season. As for Ironwood, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
