Baseball Recap: Etiwanda Has No Trouble Against Elsinore

Etiwanda got themselves on the board against Elsinore on Thursday, but Elsinore never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Tigers. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

The result came thanks to Michael Aleman's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Josh Adams was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Frank Gonzales was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Etiwanda was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Etiwanda's victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1. As for Elsinore, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Etiwanda has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Tesoro on the 21st. As for Elsinore, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Tahquitz on the 21st.
