Volleyball Recap: Ridgway Takes a Loss

Ridgway lost against Crested Butte back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Demons came up short against the Titans, falling 3-0.

While Ridgway was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Crested Butte's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-22.

Madison Megahee paced Ridgway's offense, picking up six kills. Megahee got some help from Mary Patrick and her two assists. Patrick was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Ridgway's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Crested Butte, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Ridgway has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Norwood on the 23rd. As for Crested Butte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Mountain Valley on the 20th.
