Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Beaver Local's 12th in Last 14 Outings

After only two runs in their last game, Beaver Local made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bellaire on Wednesday. The Beavers put the hurt on the Big Reds with a sharp 11-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Addie Thurik was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Thurik was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Beaver Local let Ciara Call and Brylee Curtis run wild. Call got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Curtis went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Call has posted since back in April. Ally Wright was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Beaver Local has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Bellaire, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
