Athens is 4-0 against Grand Saline since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Athens Hornets will look to defend their home pitch against the Grand Saline Indians at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Athens' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Van with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won three matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Grand Saline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Brownsboro, falling 14-6. Even if the Indians couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Athens has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those six games. As for Grand Saline, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Athens took their win against Grand Saline in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 21-0. Does Athens have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grand Saline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
