Preview: North Shelby Raiders vs. Monroe City Panthers
North Shelby has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Monroe City Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought game, but North Shelby had to settle for a 58-56 loss against Westran. North Shelby has struggled against Westran recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Monroe City scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 67-60 win over Mark Twain. The victory was just what Monroe City needed coming off of a 43-23 defeat in their prior game.
North Shelby bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Monroe City, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
