Basketball Recap: Raytown Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ruskin last Monday, Raytown came back down to earth. The Raytown Bluejays fell to the Belton Pirates 41-35. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Raytown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Belton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-12.

Raytown and Belton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Raytown (ranked 333rd) will meet Grain Valley (ranked 45th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Belton will take on Fort Osage at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th down 169 places (335 vs. 166).
