Basketball Recap: Butte Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Butte Central Catholic lost against Beaverhead County back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Butte Central Catholic Maroons took a blow against the Beaverhead County Beavers, falling 65-27. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Beavers are ranked eighth).

Butte Central Catholic dropped their record down to 5-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Beaverhead County, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

Looking ahead, Butte Central Catholic will take on Stevensville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Butte Central Catholic is facing Stevensville at the right time seeing as Stevensville is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. Beaverhead County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
