Softball Recap: Cedar Cliff Colts vs. Twin Valley Raiders
Cedar Cliff pushed their score to seven the last time they played they, but on Monday they couldn't quite do it again. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Twin Valley Raiders. The win was a breath of fresh air for Cedar Cliff as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Olivia Alandar was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Capozzoli, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
On Twin Valley's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Stoltzfus, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Cedar Cliff made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-3. As for Twin Valley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Cliff will challenge Mifflin County at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Twin Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
