Baseball Recap: South Eugene Comes Up Short

South Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-7 to the Willamette Wolverines, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 last Tuesday.

South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Willamette, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South Eugene will square off against rival South Medford at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Willamette is set to face off against their familiar foe Grants Pass at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
