Football Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Benton Cardinals. That's two games in a row now that the Fighting Irish have lost by exactly six points.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Benton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will welcome Savannah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Benton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against University Academy Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
