It's playoff time, and Simpson Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Bayou Academy Colts with a sharp 10-4 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Barrett McKenney was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kade Walker, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Simpson Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Simpson Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.
