Basketball Recap: Trayvon Mcgraw Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Middletown

After only 28 points in their last matchup, Monroe-Woodbury made sure to put some points up on the board against Middletown on Monday. The Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders snuck past the Middletown Middie Bears with a 55-50 win. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered a 45-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Monroe-Woodbury's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trayvon McGraw led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristopher Bjaelker, who posted 11 points and three steals.

The victory got Monroe-Woodbury back to even at 1-1. As for Middletown, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Monroe-Woodbury didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-46 win against Washingtonville on the 12th. As for Middletown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-41 defeat against Kingston on the 12th.
