Baseball Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy Gets the Win

Hialeah Educational Academy hadn't done well against Columbus recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie had just enough and edged out the Columbus Explorers 2-1. This was payback for the Biggie, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hialeah Educational Academy got a great performance from JADEN LAO as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. LAO is becoming a predictor of Hialeah Educational Academy's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, JOSHUA CARDOSO was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. EISLER PEREZ was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Hialeah Educational Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
