While Greenbrier West's victory against Mount View wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Golden Knights 3-2. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Golden Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Landen Doss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

Greenbrier West's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Mount View, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-8-1.

Coming up, Greenbrier West will head out on the road to challenge Greater Beckley Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. Mount View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
