Volleyball Recap: Craig Comes Up Short

Craig was the 2-1 winner over Hoonah when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Braves by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Braves 25-16 in the first set.

Craig started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Craig's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hoonah, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Craig and Hoonah will both be playing Wrangell the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Wolves at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Braves will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
