Mansfield proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northeast Bradford Panthers, sneaking past 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Isaac Sparks made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Sparks was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Sparks wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Collin Oakes, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Mansfield's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Northeast Bradford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Mansfield will square off against Williamson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northeast Bradford, they will challenge Wellsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
