Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Shortridge Takes a Loss

Indianapolis Shortridge suffered their closest defeat since January 24, 2024 on Thursday. They fell in a 53-51 heartbreaker to the Purdue Polytechnic Techies. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Techies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Purdue Polytechnic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tj Williams out in front who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Damion Green, who put up 12 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks.

Indianapolis Shortridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Purdue Polytechnic, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Indianapolis Shortridge has already played their next matchup (against University), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they will face off against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Purdue Polytechnic surely won't give up without a fight.
