Union Springs strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Moravia Blue Devils. 18 seems to be a good number for the Wolves as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Jack Walters made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Aaron Johnson was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Witer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Union Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Union Springs pushed their record up to 16-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Moravia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Union Springs will head out to take on Tioga at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moravia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marathon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
