Softball Recap: Saline Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Saline never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pinckney Pirates by a score of 4-0. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

Harper Grambau looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Sydney Hastings was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. She also put up a home run, which was her first of the season. Elizabeth Onyskin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Saline lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Saline's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saline will host Mercy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pinckney, they will welcome Richard at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
