There's no place like home for Warrensburg-Latham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans 2-1. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Warrensburg-Latham who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-10.

Allison Cushing paced Warrensburg-Latham's offense, picking up 17 kills. Cushing got some help from Audrey Billingsley and her 17 assists. Billingsley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Warrensburg-Latham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-11 record this season.

Warrensburg-Latham will head out to square off against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they will be playing at home against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
