Basketball Recap: Tabernacle Takes a Loss

After flying high against Valley Fellowship Christian Academy last Tuesday, Tabernacle came back down to earth. The Tabernacle Torches were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 51-50 to the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors. While the Torches didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 11-6 in the first quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tuscaloosa Home Educators to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Sodergren, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooks Glisson, who put up 14 points.

Tabernacle's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.

Tabernacle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-57 victory against Rocket City on the 17th. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-44 defeat against Wiregrass on the 18th.
