Volleyball Recap: Mountain City Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mountain City Christian Academy lost against Seward back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seahawks. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mountain City Christian Academy actually scored more points across those four sets (92-90), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-19, 26-24, 26-24.

Jieaya Siatini-Williams paced Mountain City Christian Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Siatini-Williams got some help from Elli Courtney and her 20 assists. Courtney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mountain City Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Seward, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain City Christian Academy will head out to face off against Redington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seward, they will venture away from home to challenge Soldotna at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
