Baseball Recap: Imagine Prep Takes a Loss

Imagine Prep had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it six. They lost 18-0 to the Heritage Academy Heroes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Heroes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-1 back in March.

As for Heritage Academy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by eight runs or more this season.

For Heritage Academy's part, Michael Blondin looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Andrew Dahl was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Jackson Dum was another key player, going 1-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Imagine Prep is taking a road trip to face off against Heritage Academy Gateway at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Heritage Academy, they will challenge Mission Heights Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Phantoms' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Heroes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
