Softball Recap: Parkview Baptist Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Parkview Baptist barely beat West Feliciana the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Saints a 19-0 shutout on Saturday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Ava Landry, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Jolie Gawlik was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

Landry wasn't the only one making solid contact: Parkview Baptist kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Eagles are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Parkview Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for West Feliciana, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Parkview Baptist will welcome Holden at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Feliciana, they are taking a road trip to take on Slaughter Community Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
