University is 7-2 against Cypress Creek since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Cougars will get right back to it and host the Bears at 7:00 p.m. University will be strutting in after a win while Cypress Creek will be coming in after a defeat.

University is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Wednesday. They breezed past Freedom to the tune of 83-28. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won eight in a row.

University had a senior duo take command as Trinel Taylor went 5-for-6 to rack up 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists and Kyle Bailey shot 54% from the field en route to 21 points. Richard Abbott was another key player, putting up nine points.

University was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 76-51 to Boone on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Everything went University's way against Cypress Creek in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as University made off with a 70-49 win. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
