The Ambassador Christian School Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association Stallions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ambassador Christian School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions last Thursday. Ambassador Christian School came up short against Covenant Day, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Ambassador Christian School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Covenant Day is ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association kept a clean sheet against Asheville T on Friday. They put the hurt on the Trailblazers with a sharp 6-0 win. Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by three goals or more this season.

Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association's lineup was just a bit different on Friday as Nathan El Najjar got a bit more time on the pitch (70 vs. his season average of 38.6). El Najjar made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Ambassador Christian School dropped their record down to 6-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2-2.

Ambassador Christian School was able to grind out a solid win over Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stallions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
