Volleyball Recap: Scotts Valley Takes a Loss

Scotts Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the North Salinas Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in February.

While Scotts Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16.

Scotts Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for North Salinas, they moved to 2-10 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Scotts Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Monta Vista on the 12th. As for North Salinas, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Watsonville on the 12th.
