Trezevant entered their tilt with KIPP Collegiate on Wednesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the phoenix 11-9. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 5-3 victory last Thursday.

Zavion Evans was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and one triple. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Phoenix Goodwill, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Trezevant's win bumped their record up to 12-6-1. As for KIPP Collegiate, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Trezevant will venture away from home to face off against Lakeland Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. KIPP Collegiate does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
