Baseball Recap: Franklin Cougars vs. Eastwood Troopers
Franklin couldn't beat Eastwood on Saturday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the first inning. The Cougars fell just short of the Troopers by a score of 13-12. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Troopers this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-3 defeat back in March.
Franklin has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Eastwood, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4-3.
