Middlesboro put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 46-14 win over the Cloudland Highlanders. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 106th in Kentucky, while the Highlanders are ranked 319th in Tennessee) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Middlesboro's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Cloudland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Middlesboro will be playing in front of their home fans against Lynn Camp at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Yellowjackets their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Cloudland, they are taking a road trip to take on Jellico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
