Baseball Recap: Eagleville Comes Up Short

If Eagleville was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Community on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nolensville Knights on Friday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in March of 2019.

Eagleville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt McDougal, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Eagleville's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Nolensville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

Coming up, Eagleville will square off against Hampshire at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Nolensville, they will take on Ravenwood at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.9, the Raptors 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
