Baseball Game Preview: Seton LaSalle Rebels vs. Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles

For the first time this season, Seton LaSalle will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m.

Seton LaSalle fell victim to Canon-McMillan and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Big Macs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rebels have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Meanwhile, Keystone Oaks got the win against Winchester Thurston on Thursday by a conclusive 10-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Bryce Altenbaugh, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Tony Liebro, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Altenbaugh wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Keystone Oaks kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winchester Thurston only managed six hits.

Seton LaSalle's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Keystone Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Seton LaSalle was able to grind out a solid victory over Keystone Oaks in their previous matchup back in May of 2019, winning 9-5. Will Seton LaSalle repeat their success, or does Keystone Oaks has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
