King's Academy entered their tilt with Olympic Heights on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Olympic Heights a 12-0 shutout. Considering King's Academy has won 13 matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

King's Academy got a big performance out of Emma Thornton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiersten Zimmerman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

King's Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olympic Heights struck out eight times.

King's Academy pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Olympic Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King's Academy will host Boca Raton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Olympic Heights, they will face off against Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
