Baseball Recap: Bradley Central Takes a Loss

Bradley Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cleveland Blue Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 last Monday.

Bradley Central got a good showing from Tucker Allen, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Allen a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Jackson Humble was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Bradley Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cleveland, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradley Central will welcome Providence Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cleveland, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against East Hamilton at 5:00 p.m.
