Volleyball Recap: Colby Comes Up Short

Colby lost against Mauston on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hornets fell 2-0 to the Golden Eagles.

Daelyn Rieck paced Colby's offense, picking up ten kills. Rieck got some help from Zoe Kaiser and her 14 assists.

Mauston can attribute much of their success to Rylea Mehne, who had six digs and two aces. That's the most digs Mehne has posted since back in August.

Colby's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Mauston, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Colby is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Greenwood at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mauston, they will host Ripon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
