Baseball Recap: Cary Academy Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Cary Academy's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravenscroft Ravens on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Ravens: they've now lost five in a row.

Cary Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicholas Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Cary Academy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Ravenscroft, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Cary Academy will square off against Wake Christian Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ravenscroft, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Durham Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
