Football Preview: Reeltown Rebels vs. Central of Coosa County Cougars
Reeltown has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will venture away from home to square off against the Central of Coosa County Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Reeltown will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Last Friday, Reeltown was fully in charge, breezing past LaFayette 54-12 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-6.
Reeltown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Traylen Roberts out in front who rushed for 88 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarkius Smith, who threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.

Meanwhile, a victory for Central of Coosa County just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They had to suffer through a 48-8 loss at the hands of LaFayette. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Reeltown pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Central of Coosa County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything came up roses for Reeltown against Central of Coosa County in their previous meeting back in October of 2019, as the team secured a 58-0 victory. Will Reeltown repeat their success, or does Central of Coosa County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
