Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Academy Rebels vs. Pope John Paul II Jaguars

The Riverside Academy Rebels are taking a road trip to challenge the Pope John Paul II Jaguars at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Pope John Paul II will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, Riverside Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past St. John 64-61.

Meanwhile, Pope John Paul II ended up a good deal behind Lakeshore on Thursday and lost 55-40. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with Lakeshore recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

The victory got Riverside Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Pope John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Riverside Academy came up short against Pope John Paul II in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 61-51. Can Riverside Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
