Franklinton hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Zymir Lipscomb that streak is no more. The Franklinton Red Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Southern Nash Firebirds on Monday, sneaking past 61-58 thanks to Lipscomb, who posted 16 points and three steals. Those 16 points gave him a new career-high.

Kirby Ransom was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Southern Nash still got an impressive performance from George Richardson, who went 8-for-13 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds. Richardson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaden Hartsfield, who had 16 points.

Franklinton's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Southern Nash, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Looking ahead, Franklinton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Northern Nash at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Nash knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Franklinton likes a good challenge. Southern Nash does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
