Softball Game Preview: South Garland Titans vs. North Garland Raiders

South Garland is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and North Garland a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. It'll be Northside v. Southside when the South Garland Titans and the North Garland Raiders meet at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

South Garland lost 18-4 to Lakeview Centennial on Friday.

South Garland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Texta, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That hit was Texta's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for North Garland's offense. They came up short against Sachse on Tuesday, falling 15-0. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

North Garland's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for South Garland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
