If Bishop LeBlond was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lathrop on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Savannah Savages on Tuesday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

While Bishop LeBlond had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 15-25, 25-18.

Rilyn Conard paced Bishop LeBlond's offense, picking up ten kills. Conard got some help from Kendall Cathcart and her 21 assists. Cathcart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Bishop LeBlond's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Savannah, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Bishop LeBlond has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against St. Pius X on the 25th. As for Savannah, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Benton on the 25th.
